Conifer Walk with Van Bobbitt

  • TBD - Please Register for Details on Location (map)

The Northwest is full of beautiful and interesting conifers. Some natives such as Western Red Cedar and Douglas Fir. Others, while not technically considered native, nevertheless are common throughout our landscape such as Oriental Spruce.

Join Van Bobbitt, a beloved and respected retired landscape horticulture instructor from South Seattle College, to learn more about various species of conifers that grow around Green Lake. Van taught at South Seattle for nearly 20 years, sharing with many generations of students his love, knowledge, and enthusiasm about a “group of plants [that] can be both awe-inspiring and magical” (Gardening with Conifers, Adrian Bloom, Firefly Books, 2002).

Preregistration is required and space is limited.

*Specific meeting location will be sent upon registration.

$20 – pre-registration only. Limited spots.
